Atkinsons Edgewater lays directly beside the beautiful 33 ha Lake Atkinson, a natural lake fed by Buaraba Creek. Popular with waterskiiers and jetskis the lake is a playground for thrillseekers as well as a haven for birdlife and wildlife. Just over an hour from Brisbane and 40 minutes from Ipswich or Toowoomba,
The Resort is a popular choice for families wanting to get to their destination quickly and easily. Lovely grassy campsites both powered and unpowered almost all with views of the lake are available with most sites suitable for open campfires, boats, bike riding and pets.
Since arriving at The Resort, significant improvements have been made to enhance the guest experience. With a growing number of forward bookings, it’s clear that Lake Atkinson has become a popular destination for campers across South East Queensland.
Over the years, The Resort has hosted tens of thousands of guests, many of whom return with friends.
Previous events held at the Resort have raised funds for the Toowoomba Children’s Hospital Foundation, as well as several smaller charities.
